Apple officially revealed its much anticipated iTunes in the Cloud feature at WWDC on Monday.

The feature which will formally launch alongside iOS 5 this fall will be part of iCloud, but users can test some of the features today.

iTunes in the Cloud enables users to access songs, albums, music videos, apps and books that were already bought but is not available locally on the user’s device. For example, if you don’t have a copy of an album on your iPhone or iPad for that matter but you really want to hear your favorite song, you can just download the track from your account again for instead of having to sync with your Mac or PC.

Apple will introduce an iTunes Match service that will make it easy for users to gain cloud access to all the music they haven’t purchased on iTunes for just $25 a year, by fall. Nevertheless, users can take advantage of the larger “access your iTunes purchases” feature starting today.
