You had the first glimpse on this on Jolibook, but now, every netbook or computer can get hands-on to the Jolicloud 1.1 OS. The Jolicloud OS lets you experience an improved user interface. Among those features is a new set of HTML5 desktop plus a simplified Facebook Connect login and a few slick tweaks. These features promises better performance and battery life compared to the previous version.

Jolibook Ships to U.K.

Jolibook exudes simplicity and beauty like no other. It is no ordinary netbook since it carries the powerful feature called Jolicloud 1.1 OS.

Jolly good news! It has been ten days after Jolicloud unveiled the Jolibook to the world. Now, the new device is up for sale. It is a netbook that carries a 10.1-inch WSVGA screen, Intel GMA 3150 graphics, 1GB of RAM, 250GB hard drive and 0.3 megapixel webcam. Other excellent features are the instant-on Jolicloud 1.1 OS on board and a dual-core 1.5GHz Atom N550 processor. The latter provides power to basic tasks made on the netbook.

The netbook costs £279 (about $443). You can find it in Vye or Amazon UK. The founder of the company, Tariq Krim, tweeted that shipping begins on Monday.

This month, something big is going to happen in the world of little computers. Introducing Jolibook -- the first Jolicloud-powered computer, created for the Netbook Friends.

The makers of Jolicloud have unveiled news about a new hardware – the Jolibook – that is soon to come. The Jolibook is set to arrive later this month, running in a web-based, netbook-friendly OS, Jolicloud 1.1. The first out-of-the-box Jolicloud-powered computer is set to appeal the web-app lovers. Reportedly affordable and small, the Jolibook will come pre-loaded with Skype, Facebook, Chromium and other popular apps. As for the specs, the machine will come in a dual-core Atom N550 processor, and a 250GB hard drive.
