Oracle CEO says Firing Mark Hurd has been a Fatal Mistake

Lawrence Ellison, CEO of database software maker Oracle, charged Hewlett-Packard's board of creating a crucial mistake in ousting their chief Mark Hurd due to sexual harassment and erratic expense report cases. In an email sent to the New York Times, Ellison rattled off the odds for HP's decision.
“The H.P. board just made the worst personnel decision since the idiots on the Apple board fired Steve Jobs many years ago,” wrote Oracle chief Ellison to the New York Times, “that decision nearly destroyed Apple and would have if Steve hadn’t come back and saved them.”
His sentimental email speech came after Mark Hurd stepped down last Friday due to the discovery of inaccurate expense reports in a sexual harassment inquiry.
