Case-Mate is believed to leak the iPhone 5 design unintentionally with its now-gone products page.
Even before news sites were able to post the most recent buzz, Case-Mate pulled its web page which is said to showcase a number of iPhone 5 cases.
Replaced with a landing page, the now-removed product content looked like renders anyway. However, they were probably based on partly known specs. Thus, the cases offered styling cues that were taken from the iPad 2 and iPod Touch with a tapered back and thinner casing. Case-Mate’s removal of the product page suggests that it wasn’t posted intentionally, although it could be a ploy to get people to their landing page.
Apple is reported to announce the next iPhone in the coming weeks, while Case-Mate’s images were just the latest in the series of leaks concerning the next handset.View Article Source »
A downloadable stock RTM of Windows Phone 7 Mango has been leaked by Hobbyists on weekend. But there's a catch.
A downloadable stock version of the RTM (release to manufacturing) build of Windows Phone 7 Mango has been successfully posted by Hobbyists this weekend. XDA-Developers forum member said that the leaked 7720 build is the reference version and isn’t optimized specifically for any device. As such, some special features may be missing. The OS will work on a core level on most, if not all, Windows Phone 7 hardware. Microsoft’s chassis guidelines had led every phone to run the same Snapdragon processor families, or having much of the same part mix inside so far.
Upgrading through the leaked stock version is considered to be a risky move for almost all owners, since it don’t have the Microsoft’s approval and this might break the warranty. As such, owners who want to patch to a newer version of Mango likely won’t have an option except for getting a separate version of the generic updated build. Otherwise, they will need to revert back to the original firmware and do the usual upgrade method.View Article Source »

Next gen Apple iPod Nano getting a camera? China leaks 7th Gen iPod Nano chassis photograph.
China seems to be on a leak-streak, as Chinese website – Apple.pro – unveils an image of what it seems to be the chassis for the next generation iPod nano. And from the looks of it, Apple’s 7th gen Nano is going to bring back what was taken from its previous iteration, the camera!
The last time the iPod Nano had a camera was back in its 5th generation version, where it had video recording, video playback, and a wide-screen display. Apple apparently removed these key features in the 6th gen nano to reduce the device’s size, a Multi-touch display, an iOS-ish interface, and a belt clip.
The leaked image tells an interesting tale that we might have a camera while still having the device’s current miniscule size. This would make a great gadget for espionage, eh?View Article Source »

"A source familiar with Apple's graphics strategy says the company will not only be upgrading its video core, but also going to multiple cores..."---AppleInsider
We’ve heard rumors that the iPad 2 will be sporting a 2048×1536 high resolution screen, but one big question has somehow emerged. The question is related to the GPU or graphics processing unit that will power up such high resolution. AppleInsider, a site dedicated to report rumors about the Apple products, claims that iPad 2 and probably iPhone 5 will be using a dual-core SGX543 GPU from Imagination Technologies.
As AppleInsider puts it:
“A source familiar with Apple’s graphics strategy says the company will not only be upgrading its video core, but also going to multiple cores, a feature that is designed into the SGX543 design. The most likely configuration of Apple’s next custom chip is reportedly the SGX543MP2, which pairs two SGX543 cores to work as one, offering around four times the capability of the previous A4 in graphics and video tasks.”Read the rest of the article »
We got hefty upgrades and high-end point and shoot cameras on their way. Will the Bloggie 3D camera compensate for the lack of DSLRs and NEXs in the line-up?
Looks like Photorumors draws first blood over Sony as it leaks a list of the Japanese company’s camera line up for the CES 2011. By the looks of the list, it seems Sony has alot of upgraded and high-end models coming their way, but details are very minimal and no pictures are available. Unfortunately, the report states that we won’t be seeing any Sony DLSR or NEX this time. What really caught our attention though was the Bloggie 3D camera, which allows the user to capture movies in 3D. They might have thought that since everything else seems to be 3D, why not capture a video in 3D? Stick around for more details as we dive deeper into CES 2011.
See the complete list after the break!Read the rest of the article »
