A leaked slide presentation from ASUS reveals that AMD's upcoming Bulldozer CPUs will feature eight cores and revised TurboCore technology. But how true could that be?

An allegedly leaked slide presentation from ASUS details the specs of AMD’s upcoming Bulldozer CPUs, FX-8130P and FX-8110. Recently appeared from ZOL forums, the slide has some erased figures from it — including the clock speed. Apparently, it was carried out to keep the anonymity of the person who leaked the slide presentation.

However, some intrepid forum users tried to guess the scratched figures by looking at the remaining outlines of the numbers. The current numbers being bandied around indicates that the Bulldozer CPUs will have a stock speed of 3.8GHz (4.2GHz with Turbo Core) for FX-8130P, while the FX-8110 has 3.6GHz (4GHz with TurboCore). The leaked slide presentation also points out that AMD’s new processors will feature eight cores and will come with a revised TurboCore technology, enabling later Phenom X6 CPUs to increase their core speeds based on the workload.

But despite the figures and other information posted here, GADG advises that people should take this detail as a grain of salt. After all, they are coming from an alleged leaked slide presentation. More updates are sure to come, so just keep it posted here at GADG.

Verizon Says Nothing about iPhone at CES 2011

Written on January 07, 2011 by Charles Bass

No words about the iPhone from the Verizon CEO on his keynote speech today at CES 2011.

Since Apple didn’t show up on CES 2011, people hoped that at least Verizon will mention something about the iPhone release. Unfortunately, not a single statement about iPhone was uttered.

Verizon CEO Ivan Seidenberg didn’t use his time for a keynote address at CES 2011 to announce the iPhone endorsement. Many expected Seidenberg will air his side especially in time of the news that AT&T is slashing iPhone 3GS price and reports claiming that Apple retail staff were told to forget about vacation.

Seidenberg spent his time discussing Verizon’s LTE and FiOS networks, and even execs from Microsoft and Google helped out when he demonstrated Android devices including the tablets.

After hitting the world with iPhone 4 and the new generations of iPod, Apple is now developing another device to wow us. Introducing the leaked out iPhone 5. Formerly known as iPhone 3.2, the device is nearly there and almost ready. Here are the leaked piece about the latest from Apple.

We came across the site of Boy Genius Report and we saw some interesting news about our favorite and “Marketer of the Decade” Apple. After the iPhone 4’s unrelenting drama that cause a chaos among smartphones, let’s welcome the iPhone 5. The assumed Verizon phone. It carries a simcard slot, CDMA compatible and the hardware is almost final.

This might be the answer to the iPhone 4’s antenna gate problem since it carries the CDMA + GSM/HSPA that will support Verizon, AT&T and other mobile carrier all over the globe. And we think this must be a little bit final. With all the last minute details.

Boy Genius said that according to their “very close source to Apple” the device is on the EVT, meaning it has reached the engineering verification test phase. This is right before they hit the DVT phase.

Three years have passed since the last Macbook product. But no time to reminisce now for the newest version of Macbook is coming to town.

AppleInsider revealed a rumor that will make anyone giddy. Something about a smaller and unbelievably lighter version of a laptop. This will be the newst version of the Macbook Air laptop.

After a series of competition about iPad and tablets, finally, they’ve realized that behind the genre of tablets, laptops are still alive and breathing.

It’s been roughly three whole years since Macbook Air landed on our laps. Hailed as an extremely useful product with several things in store for you.

The newest Air reportedly features a whooping 11.6″ screen and the Intel Core i-series CPU for low power and high output. There is no doubt the new Air will carry an SSD, and let’s not get surprised to see a 3G data package, similar to the one present on iPad.

Toshiba SmartPad: The New Android Tablet Folio 100

Written on August 30, 2010 by Charles Bass

Android surprised us again with another innovation.

The Toshiba SmartPad is no longer called like that. This new gadget will be named Toshiba Folio 100. Along with this name were specs that leaked.

According to Notebook Italia, the Folio 100 will have:

OS: Android 2.2
Processor: Nvidia Tegra 2
Display: multitouch display 10.1 “widescreen WSVGA (1024x600pixel)
Audio: 2 stereo speakers and microphone 0.5 W
Storage: 16GB internal memory
Networking: 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G
Ports: HDMI, USB 2.0 standard, USB 2.0 mini audio jack
Card reader: SD (up to 32GB) MMC
Battery: 1020mAh, 3.7V, 22600mWh. Up to 7 hours of life with mixed use
Internet: Opera Mobile Browser with Flash 1.10
Productivity suite of office applications, PDF reader, ebook reader and RSS aggregator
Multimedia: 1.3 MP Webcam
Dimensions: 281 x 181 x 14mm
Weight: 760gr
Accessories: IR transmitter and housing

All this must corresponds to a solid tablet with a rather unfortunate (or at least unfortunate) name. Also, for some reason that Toshiba is looking to add its own App Store to complement the Android Market. As for the name SmartPad (which I think was not that great to begin with), it seems it will live on a hook for all devices-term future of Toshiba Tablet-style.
