Newest MacBook Air and iPod Touch – to be released this year!

It seems that Apple is all set for the newest MacBook Air. This new innovation of super slim notebook features an 11.6 inch display tagging an Intel Core i-series ultra low voltage processor.

This will be released on the second half of this year with the new iPod Touch. Rumored to be in our doorsteps by August or September. The feeds were from Digitimes and according to Mingchi Kuo, senior analyst and Digitimes researcher, products were being manufactured by Quanta Computer.

The report also states that the new MacBook Air will give us an even slimmer and lighter design than its prototype. While the iPod Touch will feature a 3-megpixel camera (unlike the previous report of 5), which will capture photos as well as videos and will be supported by Apple’s latest A4 processor.

The new MacBook Air is expected to reach 400,000 units in 2010 while the new iPod Touch is expected to reach 17-18 million units this year.

Apple to Upgrade its Existing Products

After the successful shipping of iPad and iPhone, what's the next step for Apple? Obviously, the company will announce incremental upgrades of its existing products as they already upgraded their Mac mini. It is also likely that Apple will tweak its iPod and Mac products over the next several months.

After iPad and iPhone 4, Apple seems to offer an endless list of gadgets. But if truth to be told, innovation is still better than invention. So what’s next for Apple?
