Critics spread the Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds love as their reviews give the game impressive numbers.
Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is finally hitting shores this week after a decade-long wait and the reviews are already in from dozens of critics across cyberspace and print. Will the much anticipated game make the mark? Well the numbers look really good, though some critics give it an average score. But Joystiq seems to have shared too much love for the game as it rates Marvel vs. Capcom 3 a whopping 100/100. In any case, I don’t think any review will change the minds of people into buying the manic brawlfest.

The game pad is available for pre-order for $40 and will come around February 14, just in time for Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Check out the video demo of the Marvel Versus Fighting Pad after the break.Read the rest of the article »
New York City is under siege (again). Who's bold enough to save the day from an inevitable destruction? How about a group of mutants, a phoenix goddess, an old wrestler, and a kitty cat? Yeah that would do.
Looks like we’re in for the ride of our lives as the opening sequence of the upcoming video game, Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds gives us a taste of what’s in store for the sequel of probably the most successful cross-over fighting franchise the world has seen. After watching 4 minutes of sheer calamity and citywide destruction, it looks like Marvel characters got the better end of the deal as Capcom entries either get their butt kicked or are the comedic-relief in the intro. Justice must be served for Capcom characters, let’s hope they’re not as meek as they are in the video.

With less than 3 weeks away until we finally get our hands on the latest cross-over brawlfest, Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, Capcom has announced 2 new characters that we’ll be able to play: Hsien-Ko from Darkstalkers and Sentinel from Marvel.
Although not exactly the addition the fans have been waiting for, the two are definitely going to make an appearance that will probably add fun and fanboy/fangirl fanatiscm to the 3rd sequel of Marvel vs. Capcom.
This will be the 3rd time Sentinel will be making a video game apperance as he was already featured in Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and X-men: Children of the Atom. His skill set is pretty much the same as he blitzes his opponents with laserbeams, bombs and Dhalsim-like long range punches and kicks. His entry didn’t receive much welcome from fans, but he’s here so what are we gonna do about it.Read the rest of the article »
While some alternate costumes appear to be the developers toying with the color palette, others have a meaningful story behind the grays and yellows.
Ever wonder what’s the deal behind the alternate costumes of some characters in Marvel vs. Capcom 3? While some may be the developer’s way of mercilessly toying with the color palette, others tend to have a more meaningful and story-driven approach as to why such costumes exist. You might be surprised that some alternate costumes are reminiscent of classic looks rooted out from comic book history.
Chris Baker, manager of Licensed Games at Marvel Studios shared, a few thoughts about the alternate costumes of five Marvel characters, namely: Captain America, Storm, M.O.D.O.K., Dormammu, and Phoenix. In a nutshell, the alternate costumes of each of the above-mentioned characters take different facets and looks from various versions and history of their existence.Read the rest of the article »
