There's probably no other game that deserves its own HD Collection for the PS3 than Metal Gear Solid.

Is a Metal Gear Solid HD collection coming to the PS3? Eversince Sony has unleashed a remastered version of God of War for the PlayStation 3, rumors are going around that a similar treatment will also happen to the popular series as a Konami insider reveals that the original Metal Gear Solid trilogy is “in the facelift queue,” We can only speculate that Konami really is planning to re-release the first three Metal Gear Solid for the PS3, but this time in the form of an HD collection set.

Metal Gear Solid fans have every right to tremble in excitement should Konami confirm these rumors at the earliest time. Should that happen, Metal Gear Solid will be joining Prince of Persia, Sly Cooper, and God of War in the roster of games that has gotten a facelift for the PS3. Now if only we can add the Final Fantasy series there.
