CCP Games' MMORPG EVE Online is knocking on Tegra 2-equipped tablets and smartphones doors.

How true is it that MMORPG EVE Online is set to make an apperance in tablets and phones? Well based on what CCP Games showed off in its EVE Fanfest last weekend, it’s pretty much true. The developer and publisher displayed an “exploratory project” which runs an abridged version of the game on NVIDIA’s Tegra 2-equppied tablets and smartphones.

Although the project is not a complete version of the title, the demo certainly convinced the audience as it shows a spacecraft rendered from EVE Online with a familiar user interface. CCP Games shared that the mobile version of the MMORPG is going to take place in the same universe as its PC counterpart.

Are we going to have our very first MMORPG on our mobile devices? Where are you Blizzard?

The Evolution of the Internet in One Infographic

Written on March 28, 2011 by Kristoff Jones

It’s amazing how Internet has evolved from a military project to a world wide phenomenon. And yes kids, there was a time when there was no internet. Consider yourselves lucky that doing homework, research, shopping, dating, and Family Guy episode viewing can be done with a couple of keyboard actions and a click of a mouse. Although it does have its downsides as we’ve been introduced to the horrors of Justin Bieber and Rebecca Black.

Although the history of the internet can fill up an entire book as long as one of Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings book, the Grasshopper Group managed to concoct a short and sweet infographic to somehow explain the chronology of the technology even for people with the shortest of short term attention span when it comes to reading.

Hit the break to check out the “Awesome Evolution of the Internet.”

Step Into the Shadows with the New Guild Wars 2 Class, the Thief

Written on March 06, 2011 by Kristoff Jones

We hide behind the shadows not because we're cowards, but just because we want to grant you a swift, hopefully painless and unsuspecting, death.

A new class has been unveiled today for ArenaNet’s much-anticipated MMO, Guild Wars 2; welcome to the darkness of the Thief. The Thief utilizes the shadows to concoct attacks that will put down any unsuspecting enemies. And even though this character isn’t as armored as the other classes, make no mistake that the shadow-steppers will use everything in their arsenal to make up for that loss.

The Thief can use traps, can stealth, can wield dual skills which can easily decapitate enemies in a flash. They’re adept at both melee and ranged fighting as they utilize swords, daggers, pistols and shortbows. The class has an advantage over other melee classes thanks to initiative points, which allow them to put together skills immediately instead of waiting for them to recharge like the others classes.

Written on February 19, 2011 by Kristoff Jones

It's a question almost as old as the game itself, but we're gonna answer it anyways!

World of Warcraft is once again at the helm in the world of MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role playing game), though we think it never left the seat in the first place. After two months of release of it’s latest expansion, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, more and more people start joining the bandwagon as reports state the game has already reached 12 million subscribers.

Yes, we are aware that the question has been asked since forever, but its relevance never dies especially to non-WoW players and non-Blizzard developers out there: “What makes World of Warcraft so popular?” Despite the game having a monthly fee, not so amazing graphics plus the plethora of available and FREE MMORPGs around there, what does World of Warcraft have that makes the players keep playing even after 6 freakin’ years of existence?

It's time to even the playing field as Blizzard convinces PayPal to suspend accounts using the service to illegally sell virtual currency.

Want an easier way of getting the best goods in the MMORPG World of Warcraft? Then better count gold buying out of the equation as Blizzard convinced PayPal to suspend accounts that are using the service to illicitly sell World of Warcraft gold currency. Blizzard has appealed that such an act is in violation of their intellectual properties and swift action must be taken.

PayPal on the other hand seems to be cool about the subject matter as they’ve given the gold sellers time to appeal for their case. If not convinced, PaypPal will suspend their accounts with no remorse unless they stopped doing such illegal transactions. Read PayPal’s full statement after the break!

Azeroth has been shattered and World of Warcraft is now under the mercy of Deathwing. But for alot of players and diehard fans out there, Deathwing's message of the end is just a build up for a bigger, much epic expansion.

As much as we want to focus on playing WOW: Cataclysm, grind through quests in Mount Hyjal or Uldum, get achievements and rare mounts, continuously queue for Heroic Dungeons, and ultimately defeat Deathwing’s pawns and the Aspect of Death himself, alot of us are already wondering who or what the champions will be facing 2 years from now.

It’s a pretty funny thing thinking about what’s next way before finishing what you’ve just started. But here are some pretty great and valid ideas from fans like you who have participated and trolled around various forums.
