Everything will 'xoom' beyond the skies with the Verizon Motorola Xoom tablet.

Verizon has just unveiled the first Motorola Xoom tablet ad, and it seems VZW is poised to maintain a dominating tone that helped them sell a plethora of Android handsets throughout 2010. Steering away from the cerebral hooha Motorola is known for, Verizon decided to take things into their own hands in creating the Verizon Motorola Xoom tablet commercial, and it’s pretty clear how they want to market the device. Everything will xoom beyond the skies once the Verizon-powered Motorola Xoom tablet launches this Thursday. Check out the commercial after the break.

Sanjay Jha Explains Motorola Xoom $799 Price Tag with 4G Feature at MWC 2011

Motorola's got some explaining to do about the whopping price of the Motorola Xoom tablet.

We were as surprised as you are when the Motorola Xoom was tagged $799, but Motorola Mobile Chief Sanjay Jha immediately tries to extinguish the fire as he explains over at the Mobile World Congress, MWC, in Barcelona that people will be getting their money’s worth with the 32GB 3G Motorola tablet thanks to its secret ingredient: the 4G.

The tablet market leader, the 32GB 3G Apple iPad tablet currently has a price tag of $729 in the US. Jha shares that people that a 4G device compatible on the Verizon network is worth the extra $70.
