Nike Develops Tron-inspired Run Tracker

Nike's new Run Tracker features visuals inspired by sci-fi movie, Tron
Sports brand, Nike has created a new Run Tracker, with the help of a Hong Kong interactive agency. The MvsW campaign features sci-fi inspired visuals.
Creative Director Henry Chu talks about this campaign and said:
“As fanboys of sci-fi movies, we wanted to create an interface like Tron with the control panel of the Ironman’s suit,”
The visual features Tron-style graphics that features data from the participating runners and segmenting it between men and women. Men and women are shown as blue versus red visualizations.
Other graphical datas include Fastest 1k, Longest Run. Total Distance and Average Pace.

Popular sports brand, Nike, launches a Facebook app in celebration of their 40th logo anniversary
In celebration of the 40th anniversary of their shoe brand’s logo , popular sports brand, Nike, has launched its own Facebook app, that lets players swap and collect virtual Nike shoes with other users, around the world.
Nike Shoe Boxxxx Facebook App, not only let’s you trade virtual Nike sneakers, it also gives each players the chance to learn more about the history and make of their shoes. The app also starts by giving their players, three random, virtual pairs of shoes to begin with. Trading also allows players to earn points and additional pairs, including ” certain rare shoes”.
Players can see their virtual shoe collection in their customized virtual closet, that can be also viewed by your friend.
The app is available in both the English and Japanese languages.

You don’t need hands for your Wii controllers ---it’s in the shoes.
Nike recently challenged 78 artists to remix and adapt the function of Nike shoes. Nick Marsh, one of the contestants, took a pair of Air Maxes and imported the internals of a Wii Balance Board to turn his shoes into controllers.
Nike challenged 78 artists from all walks of life to pimp a pair of Nike shoes. One of the contestant who went up for the challenge is Nick Marsh. He made a pair of Air Maxes into a wicked Wii controllers.
