Password Authentication for Third-party Apps on Twitter, Made More Difficult

Oh no! Twitter is making it more difficult for third-party apps to make password authentication?

Twitter announced that third-party apps will have more difficulty accessing your account, as the micro-blogging site shifts to oAuth password authentication. Daring Fireball’s John Gruber elaborated that all third-party apps are required to use the oAuth for user authentication. This requires the user to exit the application and go to a new browser window for authorization on Twitter.

However, John Gruber cleared out that third-party apps owned by Twitter will need not to go through the hassle of oAuth web authorization.
