CCP Games' MMORPG EVE Online is knocking on Tegra 2-equipped tablets and smartphones doors.

How true is it that MMORPG EVE Online is set to make an apperance in tablets and phones? Well based on what CCP Games showed off in its EVE Fanfest last weekend, it’s pretty much true. The developer and publisher displayed an “exploratory project” which runs an abridged version of the game on NVIDIA’s Tegra 2-equppied tablets and smartphones.

Although the project is not a complete version of the title, the demo certainly convinced the audience as it shows a spacecraft rendered from EVE Online with a familiar user interface. CCP Games shared that the mobile version of the MMORPG is going to take place in the same universe as its PC counterpart.

Are we going to have our very first MMORPG on our mobile devices? Where are you Blizzard?

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Patch 4.0.6 Goes Live on PTR

Written on January 09, 2011 by Kristoff Jones

Patch 4.0.6 is now live at World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Public Test Realm (PTR). Expect alot of changes on class balance, professions, guild perks, heroic dungeons, and raids.

It’s been a month since World of Warcraft: Cataclysm was unleashed and we’ve already had alot to work on as we grind our way through new Azeroth. Most players have already conquered the new available zones, have leveled their toon/s to level 85, plus have worked their way through their professions, including Archaelogy. There are also triumphs in Heroic Dungeons and even raids, including the Bastion of Twilight, Cataclysm’s hardest raid so far.

However, many of the adventures and triumphs we’ve come acrossed and achieved these past weeks do not escape the issues of unbalanced characters, game play and mechanics problems, profession glitches, and so on. That’s why Blizzard keeps on uploading some hotfixes to make our World of Warcraft lives more convenient. And for the first time since the game has been released, a new patch is on its way to further fix some bugs and problems the game currently has. It’s already available at the Public Test Realm (PTR) and might soon hit the real game around next week.

Hit this link to go to the official patch notes.

Written on January 01, 2011 by Kristoff Jones

Azeroth has been shattered and World of Warcraft is now under the mercy of Deathwing. But for alot of players and diehard fans out there, Deathwing's message of the end is just a build up for a bigger, much epic expansion.

As much as we want to focus on playing WOW: Cataclysm, grind through quests in Mount Hyjal or Uldum, get achievements and rare mounts, continuously queue for Heroic Dungeons, and ultimately defeat Deathwing’s pawns and the Aspect of Death himself, alot of us are already wondering who or what the champions will be facing 2 years from now.

It’s a pretty funny thing thinking about what’s next way before finishing what you’ve just started. But here are some pretty great and valid ideas from fans like you who have participated and trolled around various forums.

See the could-be expansions after the break!

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Review

Written on December 25, 2010 by Kristoff Jones

Pain. Suffering. Deathwing's hatred runs through the cavernous deeps as he sweeps Azeroth off its feet, totally changing the face of the planet as easy as you wake up in the morning and eat breakfast. But pain and suffering surely won't describe what we think of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. Dive into this quick review for newbies and oldies alike.

Hands down, Blizzard has once again outdone themselves as World of Warcraft’s newest expansion, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm replenishes the dwinling mantra of the franchise into a refreshing, charming and epic game it’s been known for since day one. Cataclysm introduces new playable races, new game mechanics, new quests, new adventures, new achievements, new zones, new everything. Even the old zones have gotten a facelift to get with the times, a feat which made some fans cry out of sentimental reasons.

But it’s not all rainbows and butterflies, as several bugs and problems surfaced on the day of expansion. Players particularly in the US realms were extremely disappointed, but Blizzard immediately patched up the wounds with hotfixes.

Let’s do a quick round up of the new features before we get on with the verdict.
