Much like its MLB TV application that launched earlier this year, the PS3 now features the NHL GameCenter application. Now, hockey nuts with a subscription can follow games live on their console instead of their PC.

PS3 now features the NHL GameCenter application. The new application enables the hockey nuts to follow games, live on their consoles, with a yearly subscription of $169. The NHL GameCenter offers regular season games and some playoffs. More over, replays of current games — 48 hours after they air — and more than 500 classic matches can be acquired through NHL Vault for only $4.95 every month. The video streams in high-definition and requires the NHL GameCenter app. It comes in free for PlayStation Plus subscribers, and $9.99 for PSN users. Got no subscription? Don’t worry, because post game highlights, schedules, standings and stats, and the current league game scoreboard is still available.
