Samsung DV300F DualView Wi-Fi Camara Now Available

Samsung’s latest offering, the DV300F, a dual screen and WiFi enabled point-and-shoot camera is now out on the market.

The DV300F, Samsung’s latest addition to its ‘DualView’ line, was first announced during at the CES 2012. It offers 16 megapixel resolution, a 25mm wide angle lens with 5x optical zoom. The camera has two displays, a 3-inch main LCD and 1.5-inch front display LCD.

Sprint Introduces Motorola Admiral On YouTube

Numerous consumers became interested, as Sprint revealed a video of their latest smartphone on YouTube. The 2 minutes 28 seconds promotional video leaked out most of the features of the Motorola Admiral, the second Android handset, following the previous Motorola Titanium.

The Motorola Admiral comes with a 3.1-inch HVGA touchscreen display with a full QWERTY keyboard. It features a 5.0-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 720p video recording capabilities, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth networks. The smartphone is also powered by a 1.2 GHz single-core processor and runs on an Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform.

Furthermore, the Motorola Admiral includes a Sprint TV and Direct Connect (CDMA-based). It is resistant to solar radiation, low pressure, vibration, dust, and varying temperature. Too bad, there are still no official details on the pricing and release date at this time.

HTC Hero S Comes to US Cellular

HTC’s Hero S handset emerged with a US Cellular branding, along with the Motorola Electrify that was confirmed earlier this month. The Hero S appears to represent yet another US-bound CDMA variant of HTC’s Kindgom handset, providing many of the same features as the Hero 4G that was previously rumored to be heading Sprint.

HTC Hero S is said to have a four-inch display with qHD resolution, along with a single-core Snapdragon CPU running at 1.2GHz. Other features include dual cameras, a five megapixel sensor and 768MB of RAM.

However, there is still no announcement from US Cellular about the price and launch information for the Hero S.

RIM BlackBerry Torch 9860 Hits India

In an event held in Mumbai, RIM officially announced the arrival of BlackBerry Torch 9860. This latest smartphone is powered by the recently released OS, the BlackBerry 7, and comes with a very stylish design.

In case you didn’t know, the Torch 9860 features a 3.7-inch 480 x 800 touchscreen display — which is said to be the largest on a Blackberry handset. Its high resolution aims to offer a quick, responsive touch with smooth graphics. This smartphone has also been designed to work well on displaying web pages, images, and videos. It even offers a superb gaming experience. Furthermore, the Torch 9860 is equipped with a Liquid Graphics technology and a high-performance graphics processor with an improved CPU.

Asus U46SV 14″ Notebook, Now Available for Pre-Order

Asus’ thin-and-light laptop, U46SV-DH51, is now up for pre-order at EXcaliberPC.com, the manufacturer announced recently. This anticipated device comes with a 1366×768 display, and has a diminutive black bezel that lets a 14-inch display to reside in a 13-inch body frame.

The said notebook was first announced in mid-July along with its brother, the 15.6-inch U56. The U46SV-DH51 features a “Brushed Champagne” housing that measures 10.8-inches thick and 4.85 pounds. It is powered by Intel’s 2.3GHz Core i5-2410M processor that can run from 2.30GHz up to 2.90GHz, paired with a whopping 4GB RAM (expandable up to 8GB of DDR3), a 640GB hard drive, NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M graphics, and a DVD burner.

Viewsonic Introduces Their V430 Smartphone

Viewsonic introduces their newest Android-based smartphone – the V430 – which looks like a larger cousin to the company’s V350. The two devices share the same Android 2.2 Froyo build, but the V430 jumps to a larger 4.3-inch display with WVGA resolution. Google’s mobile OS is paired with Viewsonic’s own ViewScene 3D UI overlay.

The new handset provides a standard set of smartphone features, including a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, Wi-Fi, GPS, a five megapixel primary camera, VGA front-facing camera and a 512MB of RAM.

ViewSonic V430 appears to be headed to Russia first. It still remains unclear if the said company will expand its launch plans.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 Reveals More Features

Samsung recently unveiled all the official specs of their Galaxy Tab 8.9 that is expected to arrive in Best Buy stores this Thurday. The dedicated web page shows that its 16GB Wi-Fi model will cost around $469 as expected. The larger capacity, which is 32GB, will be at $569 per unit.

LG Optimus Q2 Show Off its Features

LG launched the second wave of their high-end messaging smartphones on late Sunday. The said company unleashed the Optimus Q2 with its new design that centers on a considerably larger four-inch, IPS-based LCD screen with a very bright 700-nit output.

The Android 2.3 hardware is also one of the first smartphones in the field with a newly upgraded 1.2GHz Tegra 2, and should surpass the performance of the T-Mobile G2X — also known as Optimus 2X.

The device’s design is intended to evade some of the bulk of other slider phones, while improving on the comfort of its predecessor. LG claimed that the Q2 is almost a tenth of an inch thinner than its competitors, and 0.35 ounces lighter than its ancestor. It has a strictly average five-megapixel back camera and a VGA front camera, but it included Wi-Fi Direct for faster sharing when devices support it.

The launch of the Optimus Q2 is scheduled next week for Europe. Other networks haven’t been detailed, even though it might ship in on Sprint as just the Q.
