Sony PS Vita Demo Units Hit Gamestop

Sony gives a first taste of PS Vita experience with GameStop PS Vita Demo Kiosks.
If you’ve been dying to get your hands on Sony’s latest portable device and live within the United States, then you’re in luck because Sony has rolled out demo units of its much awaited gadget, the PlayStation Vita.
On Friday, February 3, over 3,300 GameStop stores all over the U.S were equipped with PlayStation Vita units and have set up demo kiosks to give anxious fans their first hands-on PS Vita gaming experience. Sony has also made it more exciting by throwing in a little extra and included some of its much awaited PS Vita titles like UNCHARTED: Golden Abyss(TM) and wipEout(R) 2048, to name a few.

Sony's PlayStation Vita is scheduled to roll out in Japan, along with several games on December 17, 2011.
Sony has finally announced a launch date for their newest handheld, the PlayStation Vita. The handheld console is set to arrive on December 17 for customers in Japan. Regardless of Sony’s recent move to cut down the PS3 price to $249 ahead of 2011’s holiday sales, the firm has maintained its original promise to offer the Vita Wi-Fi variant for $324 while the 3G model goes for $390.
The PlayStation Vita will be sold along with 29 different games when it ships in Japan. The upcoming titles include Fish On, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Ninja Gaiden: Sigma, Katamari,F1 2011 and WipeOut among others.
Sony will start taking Vita preorders in Japan on October 15. US customers may be disappointed to find that Sony has yet to provide a time-frame for bringing the device to international markets.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe reveals the online features of their upcoming PlayStation Vita.
Sony discloses a new information with regards to their PlayStation Vita’s online mode. It is said that the upcoming handheld will have four online modes: Near, Party, LiveArea and Activity.
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe’s Research and Development boss, Phil Rogers, explained at the Develop conference in Brighton what each online mode features.

As Sony present PlayStation Vita at E3 2011, they also discussed about the internal memory card for the said console.
At the presentation of Sony’s PlayStation Vita E3 2011, Sony also showed the new removable internal memory card for the said console. It will be available in 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB, and 32 GB as it was said in E3.
Unlike the memory stick, the said memory card appearance is very close to a variety of SD(Secure Digital) cards that has an ultra small flash memory card designed, it just have a little notch in its side confirming they hew to Sony’s unfortunate habit of using proprietary storage formats. But the cost of Vita’s memory card is still shrouded with mysteries.
