Sony Ericsson has just unveiled a new brand of smartphone in its Xperia line-up — the Xperia Neo V. The LG Esteem, with Gingerbread and LTE, has been confirmed for MetroPCS.
Multiple reports have confirmed that LG’s long-time rumored handset, the Esteem, will be likely to appear on MetroPCS’ family of LTE-enabled devices. The screenshots that were leaked out recently suggest that the device will come with an array of mid-range features, which includes a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and a 4.3-inch LCD with 800×480 display resolution.
Other official specs include a 512MB of RAM, 8GB on-board storage, a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera, a 5.0MP rear camera with support for 720p video recording, and a 1500mAh battery. HTC Hero S was seen in the wild with a US Cellular branding.
HTC’s Hero S handset emerged with a US Cellular branding, along with the Motorola Electrify that was confirmed earlier this month. The Hero S appears to represent yet another US-bound CDMA variant of HTC’s Kindgom handset, providing many of the same features as the Hero 4G that was previously rumored to be heading Sprint.
HTC Hero S is said to have a four-inch display with qHD resolution, along with a single-core Snapdragon CPU running at 1.2GHz. Other features include dual cameras, a five megapixel sensor and 768MB of RAM.

Rumor alert! Tim Cook will reveal the next-gen iPhone on October 4.
Based from an AllThingsD insider, Apple will reveal the iPhone 5 on October 4. Tim Cook will lead the show, together with Phillip W. Schiller (SVP for Worldwide Product Marketing), Scott Forstall (SVP for iOS Software), and Eddie Cue (SVP for Internet Software and Services.)
However, the devices that will be announced on October 4 remains a mystery. New iPods are most probably to be announced, while others also anticipates an iPad 3 announcement. But ultimately, many are getting excited on whether Apple will announce the iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S or both. The iOS 5 is also expected to be officially released on the said date, as it’s already nearing its Gold Master version.

A new ASUS laptop has just been added to the ExcaliberPC archive. The U46SV-DH5 model is already available for pre-order, with a shipping date set for October 1.
Asus’ thin-and-light laptop, U46SV-DH51, is now up for pre-order at EXcaliberPC.com, the manufacturer announced recently. This anticipated device comes with a 1366×768 display, and has a diminutive black bezel that lets a 14-inch display to reside in a 13-inch body frame.
The said notebook was first announced in mid-July along with its brother, the 15.6-inch U56. The U46SV-DH51 features a “Brushed Champagne” housing that measures 10.8-inches thick and 4.85 pounds. It is powered by Intel’s 2.3GHz Core i5-2410M processor that can run from 2.30GHz up to 2.90GHz, paired with a whopping 4GB RAM (expandable up to 8GB of DDR3), a 640GB hard drive, NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M graphics, and a DVD burner.

Viewsonic introduces their newest Android-based smartphone called V430, which appears to be similar to the company's V350.
Viewsonic introduces their newest Android-based smartphone – the V430 – which looks like a larger cousin to the company’s V350. The two devices share the same Android 2.2 Froyo build, but the V430 jumps to a larger 4.3-inch display with WVGA resolution. Google’s mobile OS is paired with Viewsonic’s own ViewScene 3D UI overlay.
The new handset provides a standard set of smartphone features, including a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, Wi-Fi, GPS, a five megapixel primary camera, VGA front-facing camera and a 512MB of RAM.

LG LU6200 was seen live by Korea's Daum, and it was alleged to be re-labeled as Optimus LTE.
LG’s LU6200 4G phone was seen live by Korea’s Daum with more details regarding the said device. Its centerpiece will still be the 4.5-inch, 720p display; but it also carry a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon. LU6200 4G phone is now also believed to have a more elegant “Optimus LTE” title for now.
As shown, the hardware is still using Android 2.3.5 and may arrive that way at first. However, a leak claimed that the Ice Cream Sandwich will be an option later. The design of the said device will flesh out by an eight-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front camera.
A release could come as soon as early October, even though SK Telecom’s U+ services have been pushed back and could affect the Optimus LTE’s arrival as well. LG's Optimus Q2 is slated to be released next week with its several new features and designs.
LG launched the second wave of their high-end messaging smartphones on late Sunday. The said company unleashed the Optimus Q2 with its new design that centers on a considerably larger four-inch, IPS-based LCD screen with a very bright 700-nit output.
The Android 2.3 hardware is also one of the first smartphones in the field with a newly upgraded 1.2GHz Tegra 2, and should surpass the performance of the T-Mobile G2X — also known as Optimus 2X.
The device’s design is intended to evade some of the bulk of other slider phones, while improving on the comfort of its predecessor. LG claimed that the Q2 is almost a tenth of an inch thinner than its competitors, and 0.35 ounces lighter than its ancestor. It has a strictly average five-megapixel back camera and a VGA front camera, but it included Wi-Fi Direct for faster sharing when devices support it.

Apple's iPhone 5 is said to be unveiled on October 5, with an official release a week after.
An alleged insider from Apple informed PocketGamer that the company will be conducting a press conference on October 5 — covering a new hardware. And albeit it is thought to include the iPhone 5 and a cheaper iPhone 4 version, it is also said that the company will a releasing a 3G-enabled iPod Touch.
It is then claimed that the iPhone 5 will be released a week after the big reveal, which is October 12. Apparently, the date is just a few days earlier with what Stephane Richard, CEO of French mobile carrier — Orange, recently announced the handset would be available. It is also alleged that the new handset will feature a slightly larger display and a slimmer chassis. The cheaper iPhone 4 is rumored to be available to the consumers as well.
