The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 can now be pre-ordered via Office Depot. Samsung’s latest tablet will hit the stores on May 11.

Officially today, RIM opens up to pre-orders for the BlackBerry PlayBook in three different versions, starting from $499.99.
The Playbook measures 7 inches, making it smaller (and lighter) than the iPad, and a little bigger than Samsung Galaxy. It has a 1024×600 WSVGA capacitive LCD touch screen, a 1 GHz dual-core CPU, 1 GB of RAM memory, a 1080p HDMI output, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It also has two cameras: a 5-megapixel camera on the back, and a 3-megapixel one on the front for video chats.
For $499.99, buyers will get the tablet’s16 GB version, while the 32 GB and 64 GB varieties are available at $599.99 and $699.99, respectively.

The latest competitor of iPad runs with Google’s Android smart phone software, equipped with camera at the back and in the front, supports Flash video from the web. Steve Jobs already gave his opinion about 7-inch tablets, saying these devices are “too small” and “DOA, Dead on Arrival.”

It’s the season to be jolly! Verizon will sell Samsung Galaxy Tab starting November 11 at the price of $600.
Are you ready for this? The US pricing for Samsung’s 7-inch Galaxy Android tablet is decided to cost $600 with no contract. If you wish to avail a data plan, Verizon has a month-to-month basis on 3G network which amounts to $20 a month for 1GB of data.
Galaxy Tab will be available on Verizon shops on November 11. Aside from this, Galaxy Tab webpage is up and online now.

It seems that it is not only BlackBerry devices who will come out with pre-installed features. Today, Amazon and Verizon announced that the newly released Android powered devices from the latter are pre-installed with Kindle. No need to get one on the Android Market.
The Amazon Kindle app that allows its users to download and read e-books on mobile and desktop devices will now have a few changes. Kindle app will now come pre-loaded on a few Verizon phones with Android OS.

From one report to another, Samsung Galaxy Tab has definitely powered up the battle inside the computer tablet arena. But enough of the written words! Let the hands-on video tell it all.
With Samsung Galaxy Tab already reported here in Gadg and in many other blogsites, readers might not need more coverage aside from a good hands-on demonstration. Good thing, CTIA Fall 2010 visitors were allowed to experience the Samsung Galaxy Tab — though no one is taking about the features here. And that is kind of weird.
The Samsung Galaxy S might be smaller than the iPad, but the 7-inch screen can switch from portrait to landscape mode in a jiffy. Furthermore, it has a beautiful display and a Live Wallpaper that really comes to life. Too bad there’s no release date yet, so we really can’t tell when it’s going to hit the shelves.

It seems that the battle ground for computer tablets is starting to be sanguinary as iPad gains more and more rivals. With Samsung Galaxy Tab, BlackBerry PalyBook and HP Slate in the house, there's definitely a competition here.
In the past few weeks, HP Slate made its brief appearance, Samsung debuted its Galaxy Tab and BlackBerry just unveiled its PlayBook today. And in the arena of computer tablet, the iPad finally got a competition.
However, it should be noted that there are still unknown features from PlayBook and the HP Slate specs are from a leaked internal document. But nevertheless, the battlefield is more clearly define now as compared to before. And it seems that Apple’s iPad is out-gunned as its competitors are starting to catch up. But that is just on the hardware side though. Apple still got the iOS, the App Store and a hefty startup that no pair of HD cameras can overcome.

Ten million devices plus third spot on the tablet market. These are few of Samsung Galaxy goals.
We are on a waiting game for the final price and date of availability of the Galaxy Tab. And we’re are sure that Samsung is not letting any moment pass by. Samsung Executive Hankil Yoon said that the company expects to ship ten Million Glaxy Tabs and grab a third of the tablet market by 2011.
As they first claim to be, or the people around them thought that they might be the right one to match Apple’s iPad. Yoon also added that Samsung plans to introduce a whole family of Galaxy Tab devices, although he didn’t give further explanations with that.
We don’t know if the company is really capable to put down Apple. Only time will tell. But 10 million tablet to release? That’s pretty huge.View Article Source »
