Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy Camera, a digital camera that runs on an Android OS. This small and compact digital camera showcases an impressive 21.2mm (4.77″) touchscreen LCD display, 23mm lens with a 2.8 aperture, and a 21x optical zoom.

Apple and Samsung Mediation, Set Next Month

Long time rivals Apple and Samsung are set to resolve their infringment dispute in a mediation, ordered by Judge Lucy Koh. The two giants are scheduled to meet in a San Francisco court, with magistrate judge Joseph J. Spero as the mediator on May 21 and 22.

Both Apple CEO Tim Cook and Samsung’s Choi Gee-sung have agreed to undergo mediation, following a year-long court case. These two giants have been battling over patent infringement and filing lawsuits against each other in different countries.

A Countdown to the Next Samsung Galaxy Phone

Samsung makes the consumers anticipate for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3, with a countdown clock. The Samsung website now showcases a countdown clock, with a message “You can take the next step in…”

Samsung’s mobile division first posted this cryptic message in their Twitter account: “Destination: tgeltaayehxnx”, an anagram for the “The next Galaxy.”

Samsung is set to release the Samsung Galaxy S3 on May 3.

Google’s Nexus S 4G got its first bite of Ice Cream Sandwich when mobile news blog BriefMobile posted a leaked copy of the Android 4.0.4 update.

BriefMobile on Sunday posted the leaked update file, complete with installation instructions. The update, which BriefMobile claims as ‘the full official IMM76D ICS ROM’, is said to include an improved WiMAX performance.

Samsung DV300F DualView Wi-Fi Camara Now Available

Samsung’s latest offering, the DV300F, a dual screen and WiFi enabled point-and-shoot camera is now out on the market.

The DV300F, Samsung’s latest addition to its ‘DualView’ line, was first announced during at the CES 2012. It offers 16 megapixel resolution, a 25mm wide angle lens with 5x optical zoom. The camera has two displays, a 3-inch main LCD and 1.5-inch front display LCD.

Engadget reports that the South Korean electronics giant, Samsung is considering an Android-based digital camera.

The technology blog on Wednesday reported that according to an unnamed source from the company’s research and development team, Samsung is ‘considering an open camera operating system’ which is likely to be on the Android platform.
