Samsung’s 1405 LTE Slider, Landing on Verizon?

Samsung's 1405 LTE Slider phone was spotted on Verizon, with specs and features leaked out.
A Samsung LTE-based phone with keyboard might be the Verizon’s first real QWERTY- equipped 4G phone. Samsung’s 1405 LTE Slider seems to be a superficially close take on the Epic 4G for Sprint. However, boasts faster data, Super AMOLED Plus screen, and a processor speculated to be faster than Fascinate.

Citadel Securities analyst, Shin Yin, noted to his research that the iPhone 5 on Sprint will be arriving this year.
An analyst from Citadel Securities, named Shin Yin, said in a research note that the iPhone 5 on Sprint is likely to ship this year. He said that there are several factors which indicates that the said product is Apple’s iPhone 5. Shin Yin also stated that Sprint is one of the least expensive network provider for people looking for an all-in smartphone plans.
This could make it an “attractive proposition” for users who focus on their budgets — the group of consumers which Apple wants to court. Shin Yin also speculated that a Sprint iPhone 5 could even outsell the Verizon model for that reason.

Two of the most important smartphones of RIM were seen in Sprint's CelleBrite point-of-sale system. However, none of the two devices' prices and release dates were posted.
A sighting in Sprint’s CelleBrite POS system shows two of RIM’s most important smartphones: BlackBerry Bold 9930 and the unofficial Torch 9850. The two smartphones still doesn’t have price detail and release dates. However, only the 9930 has had a tentative release date, which is on August 21.

It's the HTC and Sprint rEVOlution with the EVO 3D and EVO View 4G at the CTIA 2011.
CTIA 2011 goes into full swing and HTC Sprint’s EVO 3D and EVO View 4G has been spotted even before it’s official unveiling. Thanks to PocketNow.com, we now know a couple of things about the legendary 3D-capable smartphone and the upcoming 4G phone. And it looks like both HTC Sprint devices are poised to rock the industry down to the core.
The HTC EVO 3D is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8660 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 4.3-inch qHD (960×540) display, and a dual 5MP camera around the back. It can do a 1080p video playback while a 720p playback for 3D content
The HTC EVO View 4G, on the other hand, is equipped with a 1.5GHz CPU, a 1024×600 display, and a 1.3MP front camera and a 5MP rear camera.
Expect more news once Sprint’s press release kicks in later this week.

Sprint is out dominate CTIA as they booked 2.5 hours of spotlight possibly for their new smartphones and tablet line-up.
An anonymous tipster sent word over at Engadget that Sprint’s cooking up something considering they’ve booked a whopping 2.5 hours of spotlight over at the CTIA later this month. According to the he-who-must-not-be-named source, the carrier will be launching Samsung’s Nexus S 4G and the EVO 3D Smartphones, and the EVO View tablet.
There are no further details of what these smartphones and tablet has to offer except for the obvious. Nexus S 4G will undoubtedly have 4G functionality, the EVO 3D will be a 3D enabled smartphone, while the EVO View tablet, we can only assume it will be faster or equally fast as the upcoming tablets with your usual mix of cameras, nice CPUs, impressive screen displays, and so on.
If rumors prove to be true, Sprint’s presentation at the CTIA will be a nice rebound after a dismal performance last CES 2011 as the carrier only unveiled the EVO Shift 4G smartphone. Looks like all eyes will fixate on Sprint for the whole 2.5 hours, let’s hope they won’t fail to impress.

This is it! The first peek on Sprint's Kyocera Echo handset. Check out additional images and more info after the skip.
At long last! Sprint provided some new images of Kyocera Echo from their newsroom website. The handset will run on Android 2.2 Froyo, and with nice dual capacitive screens. However, Sprint’s Kyocera Echo won’t come with 4G support and dual core processor. More over, Kyocera could have done a little better on the handset’s style.
The Sprint Kyocera Echo is said to launch before Spring, and will be available for around $199 on contract.

If you own a Samsung Epic 4G, you did not missed the Froyo update. It's not yet here, and Samsung and Sprint can't give a definite date either.
After saying that the Android 2.2 Froyo update for Samsung Epic 4G is due last December 26, Sprint has still not pushed the update. However, the data carrier Tweeted that they are working to release the Froyo for EPIC 4G soon. Unfortunately, no dates are floating around. People should also take note that it’s Samsung update we’re talking about. With their poor track record of pushing official software updates on their mobile devices, the word “soon” could mean anything.

Ivan Seidenberg, Chief Executive of Verizon Communications, outlined on his keynote the company’s plan to provide faster Internet connection on mobile phones and fiber lines. Aside from Verizon, Sprint Nextel and AT&T are also on a race to attract customers for their ultra-fast mobile networks.
