Samsung’s Hercules Reappears With Telus Branding

The unannounced Samsung Hercules handset resurfaced once agains -- and with a Telus branding.

Samsung’s unconfirmed Hercules handset has emerged in the wild yet again with Telus branding, corroborating earlier rumors that state an imminent launch through the Canadian carrier. The images that was displayed on MobileSyrup also have the results from a Quadrant benchmark, showing performance levels on-par with leaked tests from the reference Galaxy S II.

Even if the Hercules has a different external design than the Galaxy S II – a different button layout and larger 4.5-inch display – the benchmark results suggest that the two devices may share the same internal hardware.

Samsung Hercules, Confirmed as T-Mobile’s Variant

The Samsung Hercules was recently revealed to be T-Mobile's variant of the Samsung Galaxy S 2.

Samsung Hercules, the anticipated Android smartphone, has been officially publicized last week at the Samsung Mobile concert in Toronto. Aside from unveiling clearer photos of the device, there is also interesting information that was leaked out. According to a source, the Samsung Hercules is said to be T-mobile’s variant of the Samsung Galaxy S II.

In order to justify this claim, an image of the phone’s back plate was revealed, which clearly labels “T-Mobile” and “Galaxy S II.” The front view of the Hercules was then believed to have a more rounded look compared to the phone that was first seen at Telus.
