Facebook & Video Chat for BB Playbook Coming This Month

BlackBerry PlayBook users can now stay even more connected with Facebook and video chat apps, coming in next to no time for the new tablet.

RIM just announced that a native Facebook app and a video chat app will be available this month for the company’s newly launched tablet, the BlackBerry Playbook.

The Facebook app will offer all the features of the usual Facebook for mobile, like viewing and adding friends, managing friend requests, browsing through profiles and interacting with wall posts and photos. News feed management, interaction and chat will also be included.

iPhone 4 sets foot in UAE without FaceTime

Middle East iPhone 4 consumers were disappointed when iPhone 4 sets foot in UAE and Qatar without FaceTime. Reports said that the carriers blamed Apple for this huge mistake.

Apple’s iPhone 4 was launched this weekend at Quatar and UAE. But buyers were surprised not to have FaceTime on their devices. The National reports that the popularized video chat is not included on the iPhones sold at UAE carriers Etisalat and du as well as the Vodafone in Qatar.

Carriers are throwing blames on Apple for the missing feature and representatives from both carriers are blaming Cupertino as well. It was reportedly advertised on Middle East Apple site on the 20th of September and then suddenly FaceTime was removed. TUAW reports that UAE denizens have actually tried using FaceTime abroad. According to them, FaceTime is working not until they install the iOS 4.1 update.

No official word from Apple was gievn until now.
