Fring Brings In Tablet-optimised Four-way Video app for iPad 2

Move and give way, FaceTime! The tablet-optimized four-way video app from Fring is coming to Apple's iPad 2.

Famous instant messaging and video VoIP service, Fring, recently released a tablet-optimized app for the iPad 2. The Fring app enables users to make four-way video calls to other subscribers, and works with 3G. That said, there’ll be little need for Apple’s WiFi and iOS only FaceTime application.

The Fring app for iPad 2 is now available for download at the App Store — free of charge. Fring is also set to unveil an inter-platform calling app for Android sometime in the future.

Nimbuzz Creates a Buzz in the VoIP industry

The popularity of Nimbuzz on iPhone sets the dominance of mobile Internet telephony in connecting people.

Netherlands-based mobile VoIP start-up called Nimbuzz have stepped to the 150 million downloads mark on its different variations of mobile app. As of today, there was an estimated number of 30 million users.

This trend shows the demand for mobile Internet telephony like Nimbuzz and Skype to be rapidly increasing. The main reason for this is that people want to talk cheap and sometimes even for free. Based of a study made by Juniper Research, in 2012, there might be 100 million mobile VoIP users.

You've been waiting for this since you knew it will happen. It has arrived ---Yahoo Messenger 3G. It's all free of charge so in case you're not using a 3G phone, throw it away and avail the one that lets you use YM 3G.

Last week there was a rumor that Yahoo Messenger is up for updates that will include the 3G video calling. Everyone got so excited, including us.  And now here it is —introducing the all new Yahoo Messenger with video calling for 3G devices. What made it special is that it works on computers and phones too. Amazing, isn’t it?

iPhone 4 sets foot in UAE without FaceTime

Middle East iPhone 4 consumers were disappointed when iPhone 4 sets foot in UAE and Qatar without FaceTime. Reports said that the carriers blamed Apple for this huge mistake.

Apple’s iPhone 4 was launched this weekend at Quatar and UAE. But buyers were surprised not to have FaceTime on their devices. The National reports that the popularized video chat is not included on the iPhones sold at UAE carriers Etisalat and du as well as the Vodafone in Qatar.

Carriers are throwing blames on Apple for the missing feature and representatives from both carriers are blaming Cupertino as well. It was reportedly advertised on Middle East Apple site on the 20th of September and then suddenly FaceTime was removed. TUAW reports that UAE denizens have actually tried using FaceTime abroad. According to them, FaceTime is working not until they install the iOS 4.1 update.

No official word from Apple was gievn until now.
