We all wanted to know more about Windows 8. But Microsoft said that it will not be visible until the year 2012. For now, let's start making patience our virtue.

You want to be the first to know when is Windows 8 is hitting the Internet. Too bad it will not happen in the next two years.

According to a Dutch blog post from Microsoft, the next Windows version will include its very own Windows App store just like Apple’s Mac. There will also be logins via facial recognition plus faster and more reliable boot-up. The launch date will likely be on 2011.

Long gaps between launch of new operating systems is an old thing for Microsoft. The company spend more time in desktop OS than Apple. Windows 7 had landed a year ago, two and a half years after Windows Vista. Vista came out after XP’s five year reign. However, in the past, CEO Steve Ballmer apologized for the delay and said this will never happen again.

But let’s forget about these delay, what’s important is to know when will Windows 8 be released.
