Mass Effect 3 Delayed Until Q1 2012

Looks like Mass Effect players will be killing some alien machinations some other time.
EA development studio, BioWare, has announced that the next and final installation of the Mass Effect franchise – Mass Effect 3 – will no longer see the light of a 2011 day. Instead, the action RPG hit is now set to be released on the first quarter of 2012.
The delay could be a good thing though, as experience tells gamers that BioWare isn’t particularly good when it comes to rushed sequels, i.e. Dragon Age II. Mass Effect 3′s 2012 release will also mean the game would avoid going head-to-head with big games like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Uncharted 3 for the 2011 holiday releases.

Things are starting to heat up as more information about the much anticipated sequel Dark Souls has been unveiled on the Famitsu preview of the game via Flying Get column. There will be some new mechanics and features in Dark Souls that either resemble those from the prequel, Demon’s Souls, or completely deviate from it. There will be an iron body mechanic, summons, campfires, ladders, plus a sneak peak of what monstrosities will be unleased once the Dark Souls hit the shelves by the end of 2011.

Call him a 'noob' and he'll knock you down before you even know it.
Mortal Kombat II fighter Noob Saibot is jumping back to the title for the upcoming Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 remake. Trust us when we say this guy’s no Noob as he can take you down with his annoying teleportation skills, shadow double-team abilities, and fighting prowess that can break your bones and make you puke like hell. Top that off with some cheesy victory pose and this fighter’s a keeper!
Mortal Kombat is set for a release this April 19. Check out the video on how awesome Noob Saibot is after the break!

Critics spread the Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds love as their reviews give the game impressive numbers.
Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is finally hitting shores this week after a decade-long wait and the reviews are already in from dozens of critics across cyberspace and print. Will the much anticipated game make the mark? Well the numbers look really good, though some critics give it an average score. But Joystiq seems to have shared too much love for the game as it rates Marvel vs. Capcom 3 a whopping 100/100. In any case, I don’t think any review will change the minds of people into buying the manic brawlfest.

Goodbye Guitar Hero; you brought out the rockstar in all of us.
The music genre hasn’t been particularly nice to video games these past couple of weeks. Want proof? Well what better proof do you need than the cancellation of probably an uprising institution for music-enthusiasts (not music producers), Activision’s Guitar Hero. Yes it’s all over Twitter and the web; it’s the talk of the town. Guitar Hero is dead.

"What about the game Duke, was it any good?" "Yeah, but after 12 @#$%&* years, it should be."
What? Do you think he’d be gone forever? Well not anymore. Developers have recently released a new trailer that heralds the return of video game land’s most bad-ass character in history, Duke Nukem. Twelve years, we’ve been waiting for this, twelve years they made us wait for the game to come into reality, but now true-believers will get what they want and much much more as the gaming legend brings back all the action, all the drama, and all the whooping. The game is set for a release this 3rd of May. Is it going to be good? Well, Duke Nukem certainly had an interesting set of words to say at the end of the trailer.
“What about the game Duke, was it any good?” “Yeah, but after 12 @#$%&* years, it should be.”

Don't get your hands on the latest Crackdown 2 Toy Box Add-on yet! Otherwise, you might see your XBox 360 game living below zero degrees -- figuratively speaking.
Ruffian Games has already launched their Toy Box Add-on DLC for Crackdown 2. The free version includes new level 6 rewards, vehicle tag multi-player mode and the popular Keys to the City. In addition, the premium version has two new vehicles, five new toys, two awards for your XBox Live avatar and ten new achievements. However, after all the hype that the Crackdown 2 got before it was released, gamers were left disappointed — giving the game a reason to fall from the All UK Formats Chart’s top spot.
Crackdown 2 players who downloaded the new Toy Box Add-on find their games in a lockdown. They are reporting that the XBox 360 game will freeze up every time it attempts to load. It seems that the technical issues are connected to the paid DLC released today. The XBox support advises that owners should delete the Premium Toy Box Pack from their hard drive. So for those who haven’t got a grab of the latest Crackdown 2 Add-on, don’t buy it yet.
