First Black Ops DLC Release Date Announced

Written on December 21, 2010 by Kristoff Jones

Call of Duty: Black Ops fans are in for a treat this February 1st as its first downloadable content (DLC) will be available for the Xbox 360 for $15.

It’s been almost a while since Black Ops has been out for play, and having the first DLC around the first quarter of 2011 is certainly something to look out for.

Players using other consoles might need to wait a little while longer before the content is available on their turf thanks to a deal made between Microsoft and Activision. Pffft, typical Microsoft.

Xbox 360 players will have a multiplayer map pack that has five additional levels which includes four regular levels and one zombie mode. Two of the four maps are relatively new content as they dwell on Cold War content: the Berlin Wall and an Ice Hockey Stadium. While the other two will be based on maps from the single player mode, namely the Arctic Circle and Hong Kong.

And yeah, the DLC has Oscar Mike as well.

It looks like THQ's "UFC: Undisputed" is no longer alone when it comes to fight simulation games. EA Sports' "MMA" just got a share of the spotlight, as its playable demo for PS3 and XBox 360 hit shelves yesterday.

EA Sports released last Tuesday the first playable demo of “MMA” in PlayStation 3 and XBox 360. The game enables players to control fighters from all over the world, beginning from Fedor Emelianenko to Randy Couture to Shinya Aoki. It also features fights taking place in a ring or in a cage. In addition to that, EA Sports’ “MMA” features four characters: Alistair Overeem, Bobby Lashley, Jake Shields and Jason Miller. Gamers can opt in to Fight Now mode or the MMA Tutorial 101, wherein they can control either Shields or Miller. And if they share the demo to their friends online, they can unlock a Randy Couture classic version!

The final release will make the worlds collide as it hit glasses on October 19 this year. So, who wants to be “Mayhem” this time?
