Images and specs of Sony's soon to be announced mid-range smartphone surfaces online.
Greek technology and news blog, Techblog on Friday has posted photos of Sony’s latest addition to its Xperia lineup. The bulky, ICS powered mid-range smartphone, codenamed ST21i reveals a design that somewhat similar to its predecessors.
The leaked images and specs, which came from an anonymous source reveals a 3.2-inch, 480×320 display, 3-megapixel camera and packed with an 800MHz Qualcomm processor and 512MB built-in RAM.Read the rest of the article »
Germany opens the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray for pre-order at €369.
Following UK, Germany is the second country that opens Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray for a pre-order period. Moreover, the German Amazon site lists the handset with a cheaper price of €369 which is equivalent to £325 — much more affordable than UK’s price of £350. However, this is just a pre-order so expect to see some changes before the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray hits the market.
And while UK is said to have the handset on August 15, Germany doesn’t have an estimated release date for the said smartphone. That said, GADG will be keeping an eye on this one. Get ready to "Xperiance" Xperia Play.
Finally guys! Sony Ericsson stopped teasing us with the whereabouts of the rumored “PlayStation Phone” also known as the Xperia Play.
Xperia Play is now a real deal and we’ll be seeing it right before Valentine’s day. It’s one of the devices announced at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. If you want to be the first to see the new Xperia Play, wear your best suit on February 13 at 6PM GMT. Meanwhile, we’ve embedded a teaser video from Sony which bordered between creative and morbid.

Android is ready to play alright.
We get two sides of a coin. On one side, we have Sony which is known to deliver a very editorial, sometimes creepy commercials that provokes the human mind; on the other, we have Google, very well known for their clean, simple, yet engaging ads. So what happens when you mesh up the two? Ideally we get a 50/50 collaboration right? Well the Sony Xperia Play commercial tells otherwise. Looks like Sony creatives got the better of Google’s and has launched a disturbing ad that has somehow ‘chopped’off’ the Android’s cute factor. I don’t know about you guys but I like it.

A PSP and a smartphone in one? Cool, right?
How would a Sony Ericsson phone and a Sony PSP would look like in one device? I think AWESOME!
Rumors has it that Sony Ericsson is developing a device that would be a PlayStation-like phone and powered by Android 3.0.
According to Engadget.com, Sony Ericsson is working on a mobile phone and a game device which is a cross between the Xperia and the PSP Go. It is supposedly a landscape slider with PSP like controls, plus a ouchpad in replacement of the joystick.
